# PothOS pricing amendment

Version 2026-11-06.1, dated 6 November 2026. This amends the PothOS beta
participation terms, version beta-2026-11-05.1, which stay available as a
dated historical document at
https://pothos.joshops.ai/documents/pothos-beta-terms-2026-11-05.1.md.

## What changes

PothOS software is $0. Free. Always. That applies to personal, nonprofit and
commercial use. There is no fee per ArcheAgent, device or seat, and no
subscription is required for the PothOS software.

The earlier offer of US$20 per month for each independent ArcheAgent is
superseded. This web client no longer starts new paid activation. New offers
of covered months and of requests for an additional month are retired, because
the software is free. Existing covered-month records and pending requests
remain recoverable.

Migration of hosted accounts to free access in the native PothOS service is
still pending. Until that update, an account may remain unavailable. This
amendment does not claim that any live subscription has stopped or that any
native access check has changed.

An account that already has billing with the earlier offer is not changed,
cancelled or refunded automatically by this amendment. Its holder can review
or cancel that billing through the existing billing portal, or write to
joshua@joshops.ai.

## Source release status

PothOS is being prepared for an open-source beta release. Self-hosted beta
source and installers are still being prepared and are not yet published. A
software licence applies only to a release that is separately published under
that licence once available. This amendment does not license the hosted
PothOS service or any unpublished source.

Not every local model is known to work with PothOS. The PothOS connection kit
is setup and plugin material, not a self-contained runtime.

## What stays separate

AI provider subscriptions, metered provider usage, the hosting and hardware
you choose, and model licences are separate from PothOS and are governed by
whoever provides them.

## What does not change

Everything else in the beta participation terms stays as written, including
your personal content, invitation-based access to the hosted beta, lawful
access and the other protections they describe. The hosted beta remains by
invitation, separately from any self-hosted release.

This amendment is published for information. Publishing it does not record
your acceptance of it. If explicit acceptance is requested, it must identify
this exact version and record the accepting account and time.
